a pumpkin patch with a view. . .
mini speckled pumpkins. . .
Indian corn all strung up. . .
bumpy gourds of all shapes, sizes, and colors. . .
big huge wooden boxes of apples. . .
teeny-tiny baby Indian corn. . .
Mt. View Orchards was the place to be though. They had the Edelweiss Day, a Swiss German festival. So Phil got his fill of really yummy brats, German potato salad, fresh apple sauce, and warm apple streudel. Plus we got to listen to a lady yodel-le-hee-hoo and play on her accordian which was absolutely hysterical. I wish you could've seen her little crowd of elderly folks gathered around her. At just the right moment in time, they'd all stand up, wave their hands up and over their heads, and make this crazy wooooooo sound. Loved. It.
Standing in line, there were all different kinds of apples to sample. Here's the biggest of the big ones and the smallest of the small ones. . .
And on the way back to the car, a perfect golden delicious tree. My fav.
Next time you buy yourself some apples, you might want to check and see if they came from Hood River. And then you can think of me. And my blog. And what a small world this really is.
