join me and get your craft on for valentine's day

I'm always so glad to get the Christmas decorations down and put away, although they're not all down and put away because I currently still have my Willow Tree Nativity set up, a couple of framed things up, and a snowman & berries & snowy greenery deal hanging on the wall. Then it's boring around here until I put out the Easter bunny.

Until now.

I'm on a crafting kick. And I'm going to share with you my latest Valentine's Day inspiration from bloggerville.

First up, subway art. Have you seen the latest craze on blogs with subway art? If not, then you'll want to see a whole bunch of different ideas for the whole house, go here. There's kitchen art, and laundry room art, and family vacation art, and you name it, you'll probably find it if you google it.

Here's a Valentine's Day printable I just found tonight. I love that it has 1 Corinthians 13 in the background. I've already got it saved and ready to upload to Costco. I think 5X7 prints are like a whopping 39 cents and I'm sure I have a frame around here somewhere to put it in. Easy & cheap decoration!!! She had a great Christmas tree shaped one that I printed off in December. I love it! It's still on the mantle. The gals over at eighteen 25 have another cute printable ready. (They had one at Christmas too.) I like the pink, red, and brown version. And check out the little felt rosette ball. I love that.

Speaking of felt roses, here's a glimpse at the wreath idea I'm currently working on.

It's almost done. I need to get some ribbon and some cream felt. I stuck with gray yarn and went with pink and fuschia roses. I bought white, but I think it's too bright. It hurts my eyes. So I'm going to go for a softer look with cream felt instead. If you make one of these, don't get the 16" straw wreath. I think it's just a little too big.

Here's a framed heart made with felt roses. I want one of these too. Anybody got any burlap?

And how cute are these conversation heart cones? I might not end up with any finger tips left because they'll probably be burnt off by hot glue.

There you have it, faithful readers, a plethora of ideas just waiting for you on this long holiday weekend. Now go get crafty!
