today's been my kind of day

• Today's the kind of day where you just want to stay in bed a little while longer. Simply because it's Saturday.
• Today's the kind of day that, all morning long, you just can't wait for the afternoon to get here so you can take a nap. Because that's what you do when it rains.
• Today's the kind of day you bake two batches of banana bread because the bananas need to be used up.
• Today's the kind of day where you don't really need to fix your hair because you know you are not leaving the house, but you do.
• Today's the kind of day you get books ready for the classroom library. (Thank you, Goodwill.)
• Today's the kind of day you write a letter to an old roommate and wonder how her mom's breast cancer fight is going.
• Today's the kind of day you just sit and listen to the rain because it's been such a long time since you've been able to do that.
• Today's the kind of day to call your Grandma. And your mom. And your sister.
• Today's the kind of day where you look out the front window and see the neighbor girls out in the middle of the street catching raindrops on their tongues.
• Today's the kind of day you drink a Mug rootbeer.
• Today's the kind of day you get a postcard in the mail from a friend. Of a beaver. And you laugh your head off.
• Today's the kind of day you take a nap on the loveseat while the hubs is on the couch watching college football. And all is well in the land.
• Today's the kind of day you order in Papa John's. And you think, bless the man who thought of coupons and home delivery.
• Today's the kind of day you tell your husband his hair is getting a little long and he replies, "No it's not. It's getting manageable."
