i love march

My faithful blog readers, you should be warned that during March, I listen to Celtic music all month long. In the car, at school, while grading papers, before bed. I find it extremely relaxing and soothing to my mind. Riverdance could be the soundtrack of my life, only I can't dance, so that's out. My head bobs in time to the triplets and haunting melodies, only with short straight hair, not long ringlets like the Irish step dancing ladies with straight backs and legs that move a mile a minute.

Riverdance is my favorite, but I think the voices of Celtic Woman are angelic. Michael Card has an awesome Celtic sounding CD out from a while back. The instruments they use are amazing. I should've learned to play the Irish penny whistle or the fiddle. Heck, when I was about 9 or 10, my dad tried to get me to learn how to play the guitar and I thought he was insane. I'd be happy just knowing chords. Oh the regrets we have in life. I know that now, but there's not much I can do about it at this point except pretend.

I hope you enjoy the new musical selections as much as I do. Crank it up and then get out your Irish tap dancing shoes and burn a few calories.

I love Celtic music, too... Of course, I love lots. Ever heard of Enya? She is not exactly Celtic but she is from "over there...." LOL I loved her in high school and really need to find that CD because I know the cassette tape I had is dead. lol
