thankful: part 2

three: I'm thankful for, and this should come as no surprise to you, my dog. Having Wilson this last year has been quite the experience. He makes me laugh. He makes me pull out my hair. He makes me look like I'm covered in his hair. {Seriously, how can he be shedding again?} He keeps me company late at night and wakes me up early in the morning. I love my puppy dog - even if he thinks the recliner is his.

four: I'm thankful that when it gets cold we can turn on the heat. I have college friends on the east coast that have been without power now for 12 days. I can't imagine.

five: I'm thankful for my Grandma. She's 94 and full of spunk. Her health isn't the greatest, but her example is. I love her.

six: I'm thankful for the opportunity to vote. And may I just say that I love being able to vote from home and either mail it in or drop it off. I read about so many people having to stand in long lines. Bleh.

seven: I'm thankful for the internet. I've used it a lot, but especially in the last five months as I've been filling out job applications. So many of them are online, so I'm happy that we are too.

eight: I'm thankful for my first substitute teacher gig! Me, the most uncoordinated, most unathletic person you will ever meet, subbed for PE half a day on Thursday. Get. Out. Not my first choice, but hopefully gets my foot in the door for more.

nine: I'm thankful for my doctor and modern medicine. My potassium's been low and I've had to have some blood tests. My doctor has come up with a plan that I like to try to get things back in order.

ten: I'm thankful that I get to live in the beautiful northwest. I never ever get tired of looking at the mountains.
