Note to self: steal more pictures from them next time you're home.
Actually, now that I think about it, maybe my sister was Barbie and I was the hobo. {That doesn't sound quite so glamorous.} Dad, can you check on that for me? Look for the coverless album with the polaroids.
Anyway, there was the one time in youth group that my best friend Coby, my cousin Cherida (aka Nadine), and I went as Alvin and the Chipmunks, brown face paint and all. That was a good time. We had microphones made out of aluminum foil and everything. I have no pictures to prove it, but I think my t-shirt had the T. So I must've been Theodore. Go figure, isn't he the fat one?
All that brings me to tonight's picture, pulled from the archives.
photo circa, 1993???
Tennessee Temple University's Halloween Skate Night. It's what we did for entertainment when wearing jeans on campus and going to the movies were prohibited and highly demeritable. Here we have Kerry as, well, I was gonna go with inmate, but then I noticed the cap, so maybe referee. Jason as Elmer Fudd, Shawn as a cowboy, and Sister Dawn and I as nuns. Notice I was the one praying. That's all I'm gonna say about that.
A little about our nun costumes. We wore white turtlenecks and dark jumpers. Then we somehow managed to tack to our heads one of Dawn's skirts, thus perfecting our sisterly look. We were clearly amazing.
Rollerskating in a dress, well, we somehow managed to pull that one off too.
Good times.

I remember when I was 8 or so I was Casper the Friendly Ghost. Yup the same type of custom....plastic mask and cape thingy. No pictures. I was the youngest of 6 so sadly not many pictures of me
Oh, how you make me laugh! The funniest part of all was that the turtlenecks & jumpers were staples in our wardrobes!
Wasn't that the night you goobers entered my name in a drawing for a couple's skate with the student body prez? There we were, just David Sneed & I, alone under the disco ball going round the rink. All the while I was thinking of payback pranks. Good times, Sister Theodore!
Hysterical! Love the nuns praying. I would love to see the picture of you as Barbie from so long ago! lol
