blabbering

This was a rather relaxing week, despite the fact that my spring break consisted of only one day. Maybe it was the fresh beach air on Saturday, I don't know.

I had no more than four kids to entertain at school and this was where the wiis, movies, and board games came in handy. We also went on a little field trip to the library and McDonalds. Last night I got a hair cut and nothing says relaxation quite like sitting in the beauty chair letting some girl play with your hair. Came home after sitting in a nasty traffic backup to a yummy pot roast dinner in the crockpot. I'm looking forward to a rainy weekend of doing some projects around the house and hanging out with the hubs and the pooch. Should be a good time.

I've got all the materials to make this cute wreath I saw on pinterest. Ya, I know. It was supposed to be for St. Patrick's Day, but the lime green patterns I got will work just fine for the rest of spring.

I also went to the Goodwill last weekend and bought an ugly, but perfectly paintable square frame in which I shall attempt to steal another pinterest idea and cricut out an Easter bunny. I like that it's pretty and neutral and simple and doesn't scream "Where's my Easter basket?"

In an attempt to get my shady backyard to be covered in white impatiens, I've got some seeds hopefully sprouting in the shed. I also planted some daisies and have some sunflowers to work on too. I've not done much seed growing, so we'll see how this all goes down. I'm either going to end up with  nothing (in which case I'll just go visit sweet old Mr. Marbott) or I'm going to have mounds and mounds of white (which wouldn't really be a problem, in my opinion).

So there you have it. A whole lot of useless information. Now share something useless in my comment section. I dare you.

It's so funny that you would mention about having someone play with your hair. Luke is in a class where he is the only boy (9 girls!) and this week they watched a movie in class. He come home and said, "The girls played with each others' hair through the whole movie...it was the strangest thing I've ever seen." It made me think of you, sitting on the green shag carPET getting a head scratch. It's just a girl thing. ;-)
