and for what it's worth

The 505 and I have been super duper busy painting our lives away the last two weekends. My right arm feels like it's going to be permanently held above my head. I've only ever painted one room in my entire life up to this point, my niece's nursery. . . nine years ago. It was a small room and the packages of Baby Suzy's Zoo borders my sister bought didn't have the same lot number so they didn't match up. And you all know that nearly put me over the edge. Well, I'm now much more accomplished in my painting. I'm the edger and he's the roller and we make a darn good team. Colors? Well, we've got Geyser in the living room, Light Raffia in the hallway, master closet (which is more like a separate room), and entry way closet, and Cincinnatian Hotel Briggs Beige in the master bedroom. Sorry folks, no pictures of that just yet. Just think. . . beachy. Have I mentioned how happy I am to not have cream or white colored walls? The rest of the rooms will have to wait for paint because I've got packing to do now. And for what it's worth, I don't know that the Valspar paint and primer all in one is really all it's cracked up to be.

I made enchilada casserole tonight for dinner. This came about because every single time I made enchiladas the corn tortillas would fall apart on me and I'd end up sloshing enchilada sauce all over the entire kitchen. Now I just take my handy dandy pizza cutter and make wedges and layer it all like lasagna. Smells the same. Tastes the same. Looks different. And for what it's worth, I still get enchilada sauce all over the entire kitchen.

I, all of a sudden, have this urge to sew curtains. I've never sewed curtains in my life. I did, however, make a darn cool gray headband and matching sweatshirt in my high school Clothing class. Anybody remember that headband? I've still got it too. I saw a cute layered ruffle one on pinterest that I want in my scrapbook room. I have no earthly idea what to do in the rest of the house. An for what it's worth, I don't even have a sewing machine, so maybe some nice lady at church will be my mentor. And tell me exactly what I need to do. And remind me to pick an easier pattern next time around because the word ruffles just speaks difficult to me.

Craft Warehouse is having Craftoberfest as we speak. I don't think they're serving beer and sausages, but if you go before the 18th, you can get a coupon for 40% off one regular priced item. And for what it's worth, I hate beer and love scrapbooking. But you already knew that.

I have an hour for lunch every day. The church where I'm at has lots of cushy chairs with coffee tables in the lobby. Well, there's also a bunch of bistro tables with tall chairs. And there's a Seattle's Best coffee shop. Sadly, I think it's only open on Sundays. Which is right next to the indoor playland. Anyways, it's too bad the coffee shop was closed because today I sat there and felt myself nodding off, so I decided to set the alarm on my cell phone. Good thing because after about 15 minutes I was totally gone. And for what it's worth, the church staff is off on Mondays so I don't think anyone saw me drooling and/or twitching.

Hope you all have a great week. And for what it's worth, thanks for stopping by to read the insanity otherwise known as my life.

For what it's worth I'm excited that you are in your new house and painting away. I also think it's cool that you are teaching at New Beginnings this year. Just made that connection the other day. I'm a bit slow.

---And yes, Shawn and I are having a blast. Almost wet my britches laughing today.

You are still cracking me up... for what it's worth! :) Can't wait until we get to see some pics of the new colors. I know what you mean about beige and white... lived with that all of my growing up years and was so happy to explore with colors. If you make those curtains we must see them. :)
