reason #505 why we love our jeep

Can you see it? Look closely.

Not only is it fun to take camping, but no longer will I be picking pine needles out of the trunk of my car for the next six months.

{Cue angelic music}

It's a Nordman fir. A Eurpoean variety, the lady at the Boy Scout lot told us. And she advised us to spend the extra two bucks to get it tied up before we left. She is one smart cookie. That was the easiest installment of getting the tree in the stand we've ever experienced. Despite the fact that I always think the tree is leaning and Mr. 505 thinks it's straight.

Here she is in all her decorated glory. . .

You can't tell from the picture, but the actual top of our tree was moved over like five inches from the center. It was the weirdest thing I've ever seen. It was like the angel was getting ready to jump off the edge. So we cut it off and zip-tied the rest of the higher branches together to make a new top.

Thank you, Phil505, for your amazing collection of zip ties. Whoever knew they'd save Christmas one day?
