i'm working on 2008, so what.

I can't quite get it out of my head that I can scrapbook non-chronologically. Believe me, I try. And that's where my mini-albums come in. But apparently it's deeply embedded in my brain somewhere that I must go in order. And if that means I'm only "caught up" to April of 2008, then so be it.

In January I decided to take the challenge of Project 12 - doing a layout per month for a year. Since I was up to January of 2008, that's where I started. Some months I had lots of pictures to choose from, other months, not so many. I just picked the ones I liked best and tried to adapt the sketch. I used my cricut for all the month titles, and I decided to stick with one font for the year for cohesiveness.

Here's the one for January. At that point, I was still in Ohio for Christmas, so all but two pictures are from that visit. As you can see, no journaling (surprise, surprise). And now that I'm looking at it, I just realized that I flipped the pages. They should be the other way around.

Most of the pictures from February were of a little getaway we took to a bed and breakfast.

When I got to the March layout, which was of pictures from spring break, I decided to try a sketch by Allson Davis. I totally stole her idea of the circles. And let me just tell you, that took forever.

April was another Allison Davis idea. You can't tell from the picture, but the red strip is actually ruffled ribbon. This spread uses pictures from the tulip festival, but we had company later in the month and I decided to do another page just for that.

So April gets an extra which is ok because I hardly have any pictures for May anyway.

So those are from the Phil & Wendy album, Volume 3. But that's not even what I worked on over the weekend. I've been scrappin like a maniac, I tell ya. And some people Phil505 think it's all a fad. He should know better by now.
