letters from the children

Today the darlings wrote me a letter in their journals. They've been writing in their journals all year, but this was the first time for letter writing. I got them started with how to begin and end a letter (or so I thought), and I wrote question words like who, what, when, where, and why on the board to trigger their brain cells. Their only other requirement was that they had to ask me three questions. Here's a sampling of what I got:

Dear Mrs. Bergland,
Do you injoy having a white chocklit mocu? You are the best techer of all I love you Mrs. Bergland. Are you going back to OHio? Do you have a cool house?
Sincerely yours,
Mrs. Bergland

ummm. . . bud, your name isn't Mrs. Bergland

Dear Mrs. Bergland
Are you going back to ohio. How lon bib you stae up last night. Which state do you want to go now.
Love L.

honey, you're missing some question marks

Dear Mrs. Bergland,
What type of show do you like? How do you feel? Why do you love Mr. Bergland?
love J.

child, there aren't enough empty pages left in this journal to list all the reasons why I love Mr. Bergland
