just wondering

Tonight I was talking to Phil and I said something that kinda came out like this. . . "My blog password is *** just in case I die. (That comment received a strange look, and rightly so.) OK, not that if I die, but in case I end up in the hospital and you have to inform the masses. These people will want updates, you know."

That led me to think, what else does he need to know in case I die or end up in the hospital? I'm not trying to be morbid here, and I don't anticipate dying. But neither did my friend T's husband. He was 33 years old and he died in his sleep of a massive heart attack a little over two weeks ago. T is one of our preschool teachers at school. They had been married almost three years. She woke up in the middle of the night and her husband was no longer with her.

They weren't expecting that to happen either.

I've just had that on my mind lately. Because none of us know. And when something like this happens, it makes you think. Examine. Ponder. Wonder.

P.S. - If you know me well, then you already know this. But just in case. . .
I do not want organ music at my funeral.
Please make the song selections happy and uplifting. Think about heaven while you're singing them because that's where I'll be.

I loved your last line... make the songs uplifting and happy to think about heaven because that's where I'll be. You are so right, though... death causes us to do a great deal of thinking.
