...is outside my window: dead pepper & tomato plants out back. It saddened me that I had to break down and buy tomatoes today. Earlier this afternoon about five or six sherriff cars out front. One of the neighbors (well, we think it was a neighbor, but who knows?) got cuffed & hauled off in the cop-mo-bile. I called my mom and told her it was the most action in the neighborhood since the Berglands moved in! We saw it all from the bay window.
...I am thinking: that it's hot in here. Sunday souper sure warmed the place up. Tonight was a steamy bowl of creamy potato soup with cheese and bacon on top. Yum!
...I am thankful for: my Bible study. Beth Moore, you rock!
...I'm making for dinner: dinner's done. Soup & garlic bread. The pie will come shortly (with vanilla ice cream.)
...I'm wearing: nasty old gray sweats and a pink t-shirt.
...I had for lunch: pancakes & sausage. Quick and easy after putting away the groceries.
...I'm creating: more scrapbooks than I can count, stuff for school, and the most exciting blog post you've read all day!
...I'm reading: the book of Esther, Harvesting the Heart by Jodi Piccoult, The Man Whisperer by Rick Johnson (yes, so I can correctly whisper sweet nothings to Phil - ha!), Reading Essentials by Regie Routman, and Creating Keepsakes Magazine, Oct. & Nov. issues.
...I'm hoping for: a Christmas visit from my parents.
...I'm hearing: the fan over the stove, the tv, and traffic.
...is happening around my house: not a darn thing. Phil's watching tv. I'm procrastinating getting my papers graded, which will take me all of 15 minutes once I actually sit down and do it.
...is one of my favorite things: I finally discovered today that fall is my favorite season. Even more than spring - and I really love tulips. Leaves that are orange with tips of red are my favorite fall colors, and I love baking fallish things
...are my plans for the weekend: Well, it's still a little early, but Phil's got Saturday off. If it's not pouring down rain, then we might venture down the old scenic highway and take in the fall beauty. And as far as I know, we have a dinner thing to go to Saturday night.
