flashback friday #3

Today I present to you. . .my mom, my sister, and I circa 1976/78. Weren't we cute? And check out that Trendy Wendy single white pointed collar. I was a trend setter even then, folks. (Sorry, it's not the best scan, probably because it came from one of my scrapbooks, which is why it looks crooked.) At this point in our lives we lived with Dad, of course, in a trailor at Woodlyn Acres Mobile Home Park just outside Greenwich, Ohio.

  • I remember that patio out front and riding my trike. We also had a small pool in the corner there at one time.
  • I also for some strange reason remember bits and pieces from my 3rd birthday party. Maybe just because there are pictures from it. We played red rover. I remember my cousins being there and my friend April Case from church.
  • I remember getting my picture taken on the front steps. I was wearing the black and white ABC dress to church where I attempted to sing the ABCDEFG ~ Jesus Died for You and Me song and bawling my eyes out after about the first two or three bars.
  • I remember my Aunt Sandy and Uncle John living in a trailor diagonally across the street from us. I hear she spoiled me rotten back then.
  • I don't remember (but I've seen pictures) of the devastation left behind from a tornado that went through. Both trailors beside us were badly damaged.
  • I don't remember my foster brother. He wasn't with us very long.
  • I don't remember moving from the trailor to where we lived next. . . the big white farm house owned by Bob & Mary Lou Patton.

Just flashing back. . . I've got family on my brain this week.
