day 14 of 30

Oh Dad, you probably thought I'd forgotten about the 30 day challenge, seeing how it's been months since I last documented anything from the list. But I didn't. So in case you can't remember, here's what I have left to tell you. . .
Day 14 – A TV show you’re currently addicted to.
Day 15 – Something you don’t leave the house without.
Day 16 – Your celebrity crush.
Day 17 – A photo of you and your family.
Day 18 – Something you crave a lot.
Day 19 – Another picture of yourself.
Day 20 – The meaning behind your blog name.
Day 21 – A photo of something that makes you happy.
Day 22 – A letter to someone who has hurt you recently.
Day 23 – 15 facts about you.
Day 24 – A photo of something that means a lot to you.
Day 25 – What’s in your purse?
Day 26 – A photo of somewhere you’ve been to.
Day 27 – A picture of you last year and now and how have you changed since then?
Day 28 – Your favorite movie.
Day 29 – Something you could never get tired of doing.
Day 30 – A photograph of youself today + three good things that have happened in the past 30 days.

So, since mid-February when my work schedule went to the early birds, I don't really watch much tv at night. But the tv show that I currently watch episodes of on hulu on Saturday mornings is SMASH. Even though the season has officially ended, I'm still two episodes behind.

I love the music. I love the whole get up onstage and do your song and dance thing. Katharine McPhee and Megan Hilty bust it out on the vocals. They both have beautiful voices. I've loved Katharine since her American Idol days (the one and only season that I ever really got into). No one can sing Over the Rainbow quite like she can. And in fact, in the days leading up to the first episode, I kept going on and on about how much I like her voice and how I can't wait for this show to start and Phil505 says, "Ya, all she can sing is Over the Rainbow." And I was like, "She is NOT going to sing Over the Rainbow on a show about a Broadway musical." Well, don't you know, one of the first scenes of the show is her character auditioning and what's she singing? Ya, Over the Rainbow

I'll be honest, I'd classify the show as a night-time soap opera. There's some smut involved. But I like the music. So if you're a Glee fan, you'd probably like this. (Although I've never seen Glee, so how the heck would I know?)

I want to see a Broadway show. It doesn't have to be about Marilyn Monroe. I'd settle for Mary Poppins or Wicked. Maybe even Lion King despite the fact that I've never been able to stay awake through the whole movie. Hey, the costumes look cool.

You would LOVE Lion King! I haven't seen Wicked yet, but want to do so. Mary Poppins is coming here next year and I think we're going. I have heard it is awesome. :)
