i'm going with the "no news is good news" theory

I interviewed on Tuesday. There were 75 applicants for three open positions. I felt very happy to have been called in. I thought it went pretty well, but the longer I wait the more I think of things I should've said or could've added. Isn't it nice how your brain does that? I was interviewed by three teachers and the principal. They asked a lot of questions, I presented a little lesson (didn't really have to teach it, just kind of talk them through it. . .which is hard to do when there aren't kids in front of you. It comes so much more naturally for me with kids.) Then I had 30 minutes to finish up with a writing prompt. In all my interviews, I've never had to present a lesson and I've never had a timed writing prompt. So it was long and my brain hurt after I was done. Then I was told that she was hoping to call everyone on Wednesday. Wednesday came and went. So did Thursday. And now here it is Friday and I'm about ready to go to the store to stock up on some camping supplies and I'm still waiting for a phone call.

We're also still waiting for the official word on our house offer. My helpful hint to all you future home buyers out there: if you're planning on offering on a short sale, make sure the name Bank of America does not appear on any of your paperwork. Yesterday an email said that a new lady at the B of A is working on our "aged" files (I thought that word choice was rather interesting) and the seller's realtor hopes to hear of approval again soon. Potentially we could have a closing date by Sept. 9th.

Mount St. Helens a week or so ago.

In the midst of all that, what's keeping me sane is my husband, trying not to think about it all (ha ha), and my Bible study. I decided this summer to go through Beth Moore's John the Beloved Disciple. The ladies at church already went through the study this last fall and I bought the book but went to the adult class that Phil505 was teaching. So I borrowed the dvd's and started it about two weeks ago. Here are a few lines from yesterday - which were very needed in my brain.

God's will is His divine intention. His will always has purpose. Sometimes we go our own ways, and God has mercy on us and shows us something there. Other times we beg Him to allow us to go to a certain place, and He consents. Still other times God takes us places we never intended to go and reveals Himself to us in ways we didn't even know He existed.

I have been praying... and wondering. Thanks for the update. :) I will continue to pray. I love the quote. My Bible Studies have kept me sane many a day. Hugs to you, my friend!
