surprises

Phil505 went out to his Jeep all of a sudden last night and came back in with a funny look on his face. He handed me an envelope and said, "I didn't know how to tell you about this."

Now, readers, you know there can be a lot of different things that go through one's mind in a situation like this. It looked like an envelope from a credit card company. The return address just said Customer Service. I sure didn't imagine very well. It would've also been helpful to look down just a little farther where it said "Buy Tickets at Ticketmaster.com."

Inside. . . two of these!

Woo-Hoo! We're going to Riverdance!

He said it was supposed to be for a celebratory date. You know, the "we've finally bought a house" date. Unfortunately, that hasn't happened. Yet. So I'll go with Plan B and take it as an early birthday present, no problemo.

The funniest part about this whole thing to me is that just the other day we were getting ready to go out for a walk and the Riverdance commercial came on TV. If you've been reading this blog for any length of time, then you know how much I love the music. The dancing. The sound of their feet in perfect rhythm. Michael Flatley. OK, maybe not him so much. Their long perfectly curled hair. The way their backs stay so dang straight while everything else moves so fast. How I dedicate each March on this here blog to Celtic music. And as the commercial was ending, I started feeling sad about it being 'the end of the road tour' for Riverdance, so I started dancing. Well, fake dancing, because we all know my body will never do what those ladies do. And he said, "Oh, you want to dance?" knowing full well that he had already bought tickets to the show. He's good that way. And I love him.
