my sister is doing her job

When I got married and knew that I was moving 2,000+ miles away from my family, I was worried that my nieces and nephews would forget about me. They wouldn't remember their Aunt Dee - the one who took them to the library every week, the one who kept them overnight for sleepovers, the one who let them bang on her piano and decorate her Christmas tree with all the ornaments in the bottom two feet. I also knew my sister and brother would probably have more kids, and it would be even worse with them because they'd never get to see me.

Internet, meet Keegan! My sister said she saw him the other day walking around with our wedding favor CD. It has a picture of Phil and I on the front. He was holding on to it saying, "My Dee, my Dee!" I thought my heart would melt!

And then she goes and sends me this little video with her camera phone this week. This little two year old has only met his Aunt Dee twice. Once at Christmas when he was about 8 months old, and then again just this past summer. But he remembers me! He gives me kisses!! He loves his aunt!!!

Thank you, Jenny, for making sure your kids know who I am.

Turn off the music on my playlist at the bottom first.

Is this not the sweetest thing ever?
